Context for the intervention and challenges faced

A major financial services firm (asset management) partnered with Euphoria Consulting to strengthen CXO leadership capability and elevate the effectiveness of its asset management leadership teams in high-stakes forums – boardrooms, client reviews, and critical decision moments.

With increasing competition, high regulatory scrutiny, and rising expectations from investors and clients, the leadership bar had moved. The organization needed sharper strategic decision-making, stronger executive presence, and more consistent leadership messaging – internally and externally.

Key challenges included:

  • Inconsistent executive communication and presence in high-stakes client and investor engagements.
  • Slower turnaround on critical portfolio decisions due to misalignment and unclear decision flow.
  • Collaboration friction across leadership teams, limiting speed and cohesion under pressure.
  • A need for a shared leadership language and routines that would sustain impact beyond a one-time program.

Our approach and design

Euphoria began with a leadership and communication audit to establish an evidence-based baseline and avoid generic leadership training. The diagnosis shaped a dual-track intervention: deep, tailored coaching for CXOs and a structured capability build for asset management leaders—supported by reinforcement mechanisms so the shift became part of “how we work.”

Diagnosis inputs:

  • Structured stakeholder interviews and leadership context mapping.
  • Behavioural assessments and peer feedback to surface influence patterns and blind spots.
  • Decision-making and team effectiveness review to identify where turnaround time and coordination were breaking.

Design and delivery included:

  • Bespoke 1:1 CXO coaching journeys focused on strategic clarity, influence, and stakeholder alignment.
  • High-stakes meeting simulations to strengthen boardroom presence and decision communication.
  • A communication mastery series for asset management leaders to improve clarity, trust-building, and client outcomes.
  • Cross-functional leadership summits and alignment sessions to build cohesion between CXOs and leadership teams.
  • A shared Leadership Charter and review cadence to reinforce behavioural change and track progress.

Tools used to drive measurement and reinforcement:

  • Behavioural assessments and structured peer feedback.
  • Executive communication impact mapping (baseline to post).
  • Post-intervention review mechanisms to track ROI and embed new routines.

Outcomes

The intervention strengthened executive influence in strategic forums and improved the quality and consistency of leadership communication across asset management teams. The firm also reported that the shared leadership language and communication culture cultivated during the program became embedded in day-to-day ways of working.

22% improvement in internal collaboration index scores.

Greater confidence and authority in CXO-level interactions.
